VAS' Executive and Management Team consists of seasoned professionals with an average of over 25 years of contact center experience.

As planners, practitioners, and most importantly, innovators, the VAS management team has contributed to the developments and growth of the contact center industry.

The Executive and Management Team at VAS includes:  

 

 Robert Camastro
Chief Executive Officer and Board Member

Robert J. Camastro is Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of VAS Holdings, Inc. dba Virtual-Agent Services (VAS), a worldwide, high quality contact center solutions provider, based in Schaumburg, IL.

 

In 1999, Robert Camastro co-founded VAS after a highly accomplished 25 year-career in the contact center industry. During that time, Camastro directed Planning and Development for United Airlines where he was responsible for the airline’s worldwide call center network involving over 7,500 agents and 45 domestic and international centers. During his tenure at United, Camastro developed and implemented the Distributed Workforce Concept. This unique business model allows contact center operators to source labor in multiple geographic locations while maintaining the economies of scale of a single center operation. Robert left the airline in 1995 to become Vice President of Call Center Consulting for The Graycon Group, Inc., a leading travel industry consulting firm. Robert earned a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University.

 

Under Mr. Camastro’s leadership, VAS has experienced tremendous growth since its establishment with only 35 employees and one call center. At present day, the company employs over 1,400 people at twenty-one locations in North America.

 

Additionally, Robert is Chairman of the Board for ABJ Center of the Arts, a not-for-profit community services organization providing after school arts programs for at-risk teens in Chicago’s inner city.

 


 

Evan Blanco

President

 

Evan Blanco is the President of Virtual-Agent Services. Joining VAS in 2004, Mr. Blanco brought with him an extensive background of managing high technology, high-growth businesses. His VAS responsibilities cover operations, human resources, sales, and strategic planning.

 

Evan is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point, with a B.S. in General Engineering and served with the Army on active duty for over 8 years at various locations world-wide.   Evan came to VAS from Conference Plus where he was Vice President of Operations, Customer Service, & Strategic Projects.   During that time, he led the growth of the organization from revenues of $5M to over $45M and from 65 to over 400 employees at multiple and global locations.   Known for his leadership, quality, and customer satisfaction ability, Mr. Blanco's reputation as a developer of individuals and teams is exemplary of his dedication and understanding of the successful meshing of corporate objectives and the personal growth goals of each employee.   In addition to the above, Evan brings to VAS more than 20 years of industry experience including sales with Johnson & Johnson, and as Project Manager with the National Aeronautics & Space Administration. Evan received a Master's Degree in Engineering Management from the Fenn College of Engineering at Cleveland State University.

 


 

Neri Basque

Vice President IT & Strategic Development

 

Neri Basque is Executive Vice President of IT & Strategic Development. Neri has an extensive background in the telecommunications field consisting of engineering, marketing, and market research. Neri is responsible for maintaining all of Virtual-Agent Services' voice and data systems as well as client systems interface and configuration. 

 

Neri joined the Virtual-Agent Services team in 2001 after a six-year tenure at Aliant, New Brunswick's provincial telephone company where he served as Senior Major Account Manager. Neri also served as the technical prime for response to customer requests and provided technical consulting in many fields including CTI, call center, data networks, and IVR. Neri received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Science from Universite de Moncton and is currently working toward his Masters Degree.

 

 


 

Nancy Lewis

Vice President Client Services

 

Nancy Lewis is Executive Vice President of Client Services and is responsible for all client relations. Nancy joined the VAS team in 1999 with experience in Customer Service, contact center management and quality assurance.

 

In 1991, Ms. Lewis held the position of Customer Service Manager and operational manager for the first call center established in New Brunswick, Canada. Nancy brought to VAS her extensive experience of both inbound and outbound applications, Contact Center operations, Training and Human Resources development and a career focus on customer care through Quality Assurance enhanced by continuous process control. 

 

 

 

 


 

Nigel Kipping

Vice President Finance

 

Nigel Kipping is Vice President of Finance at Virtual-Agent Services. He joined the Schaumburg headquarters in 2008 and is responsible for VAS’ financial management. Mr. Kipping brings with him a background in information publishing and professional services, as well as experience in international operations, strategic planning and financial management in growth oriented environments.


Mr. Kipping completed his accounting studies at the University of Hertfordshire and is a UK qualified Chartered Accountant. Prior to relocating to the USA, Nigel held the position of Finance Director in the Thomson Corporation free newspaper division, and for the international consulting firm of Hewitt Associates in England. Mr. Kipping has lived and worked in North America for the past 16 years and has expertise in financial and human management and infrastructure development in fast growing human capital companies. Nigel brings knowledge and experience from previous positions as Chief Financial Officer at a top 100 US law firm and a dot.com software company.

 


 

Dwight Perry

Vice President Operations

 

 Dwight Perry, VP Operations, brings to VAS over 20 years of IT management experience. He is best known for his team building skills and maintaining strong and trusted client relationships. Also, Dwight’s keen ability to identify and implement best practices across international objectives is an asset to VAS’ worldwide initiative.
